Bangladesh won
the Hockey AHF Cup Under-21 Championship title. The red-green
representatives beat hosts Oman in a tiebreaker 7-6 in the final in
Muscat today to win the title. The game was tied at 1-1 before the
scheduled time.
Naufali Al Khodar took Oman ahead in the first
minute. Rokibul Hasan equalized Bangladesh with a field goal in the 52nd
minute. With no more goals in the last eight minutes, the game went
into a tiebreaker.
Even though the team returned to the game,
Rocky Bull lost in the tiebreaker. He failed to score. However, Oman's
Talal Bait also wasted the opportunity to return to tiebreaker.
Bangladesh won the title from there.
Earlier, Bangladesh won all
three matches of the group stage by showing dominance. Started the
tournament with a 4-0 win over Hong Kong. In the second match, Sri Lanka
