The government may borrow the Indian experience in energy import and
distribution by the private sector as the government is drafting a
policy for open plaint deals of petroleum energies.
Bangladesh has sought Indian cooperation and experience in open plaint
energy deals on the original plaint by private companies.
During
a bilateral meeting with Indian Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas,
Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri, Nasrul Hamid sought the
support from the Indian government.
The Indian counterparts have experience of energy importanceand marketing in the private sector, Nasrul Hamid said.
In
addition to LNG and oil painting import prices, the meeting also
bandied drilling of deep ocean blocks and the commissioning of the
Numaligar channel, he noted.
Following the meeting, Nasrul Hamid met with Raj Kumar Singh, the Indian power minister.
Also, they bandied formal commissioning of the 1320MW Rampal power factory, as well as power importance from Adani.
India and Bangladesh both stressed the need for renewed energy in the coming importance days.
