A large number of Ukrainian soldiers have been captured by Chechen fighters.

 Fighters of a special Chechen military unit stormed and captured a fortified post of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the town of Merinka and captured a large number of Ukrainian soldiers.

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said these things on his Telegram channel on Tuesday. The news is from Tas News.

He said, "The fighters of Sever-Akhmat special regiment named after the Hero of Russia Akhmad-Khadji Kadyrov attacked a defense post with a fort. A large number of enemy personnel were killed. A significant number of Ukrainian military personnel have been captured.

The Chechen leader said the occupied post was placed in an advantageous position. It included a line of trenchwork and defended firing positions.

He further said, "Capturing this fortified post is a brilliant achievement achieved by our fighters. This fortified position was strategically important and its capture was a serious breakthrough on the Marinka front.'
